Inked by Tattoo Arms
Arm Tattoos- a continuing Popular choice
The inked arm has been one of the most preferred locations on the body for a tattoo due to it’s high visibility and ideal body contours. Before the rise in tattoos popularity, sailors & bikers often displayed their art on the part of the upper arm. The old “school” tattoos would often display variations of motorcycles, lettering or sexy women and still are popular with some today. It’s easy to see why Arm tattoos will never go out of style!
Arm Tattoos
Although arm tattoos are still popular the designs have changed. The traditional old school style tattoos are still being inked, but now more than ever, an abundance of choices in designs and styles to choose from. With so many talented tattoo artists available, the sky is truly the limit for arm tattoo designs. Some of the popular style choices are Tribal, Celtic, Koi fish, Dragons barbed wire and skeletal.
Sleeve tattoos are becoming the ultimate in design and wrap all the way around the entire arm. There are three different lengths of sleeve tats:
- full sleeves start at the shoulder and go down the arm to the wrist.
- Half sleeves also start at the shoulder and end at the elbow
- quarter sleeve that starts at the elbow and ends at the wrist
These design can be very complex and detailed that take several hours to complete, often over many visits.
Arm tattoos have become fashionable for women too! Having a tattoo inked on your arm, is the least painful location of the body. This is because the arm has more muscle and flesh than some of the other areas of the body, which makes it an ideal place for a tat choice consideration.
