Is there anything positive you can say about tattoos? After all these years of negative reputations against tattoos and most of the people who have them, it’s finally all changed. Tattoos have become wildly popular and are showing a huge increase in sales.

Oh I know at one time all you heard about was the problems with tattoos. The risk factor, the attitudes and such but I’m here to give you the positive outlook on them. This way by hearing the positive and not just the negative I hope to be able to help you in making a wise decision if you have been considering getting a unique tattoo for yourself.

Reasons Not to get a Tattoo

The first thing however I want to discuss is the reasons NOT to get one.

• If you are the type of person who makes quick decisions without thinking them through then a tattoo is not for you. At least that is the case if you give no thinking to the matter of one.
• It’s not a decision to be making lightly as a tattoo is permanent.
• If your only thinking of getting one because someone suggested you should, or if say for instance your mom said you couldn’t and you are only doing it in spite, then these are definitely not a reason to acquire one. After all having to have one removed later on is painful as well as costly. So give it some serious thought beforehand.

Considering a Tattoo

Now I am happy to say the good things about considering a tattoo for yourself. Are you a person who enjoys art? If this is the case then a tattoo might be just the thing that you want.

• Tattoos have no boundaries in their art and are limitless to the possibilities of what type of tattoo you decide on.

• I’m sure you can and will find something that would suit your style and taste. I do recommend discussing with a tattoo artist as they will be more than happy to assist you in making a final decision regarding your new tattoo.

• Studios are filled to overflowing with books, binders of images and posters on the wall all depicting various types of tattoos and designs.

If none of these are to your liking then a custom tattoo is the way to go. If you have a unique design in mind then discuss this with your artist, more than likely they will be happy to draw you up a rough design for your viewing.

• Almost every tattoo artist has some sort of skill with art and you will be pleasantly surprised by how professional and detailed their works of art are.

• Are you one of those people who have something to say?
• Something you are wanting to express to the world around you?
• Maybe a famous quote or favorite saying is what you are thinking of?

Then what a wonderful way to “say it” by using a tattoo image. You might choose something that is clear to everyone around you or maybe even something that would need explanation as your form of self expression.

• Tattoos are also a wonderful way to memorialize a loved one.

At one time considered to be morbid that’s not the case any more. Instead now it focuses on placing the person or place in an honorary position.
